Privacy and terms

Visitors

No accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Cloudflare hosts the site and, like any web host, processes your IP address and request details to serve pages and to limit abuse (the API allows 120 requests a minute per address). Our server logs keep request details for a few days to fix errors. We do not sell or share visitor data.

Mail to corrections@lakewoodcivic.com is forwarded to the person who runs the site and used only to handle what you report.

Police, fire and EMS lines

The published lines are kept for 30 days and then deleted. The radio recordings and transcripts they come from may contain personal details read out over the air; they are kept privately, never published, and shared only if the law requires it. See how the lines are made.

Terms for the API and MCP server

The data at /api and /mcp is free to use on these terms:

• It is provided as is, with no warranty. Police, fire and EMS lines are written automatically by AI from radio, are not reviewed by a person, and may be wrong or incomplete. Official records supersede everything here.
• Credit lakewoodcivic.com, and say that scanner lines are automated and unofficial wherever you show them.
• Do not use the data to identify, locate or contact a person or household, or combine it with other data to do so.
• Do not present it as official police, fire or city data.
• We may change the data or limit or block access at any time.
